Our Story
In about 1890, A. G. Bryant inherited about 140 acres of mountain and farmland from his father, Nelson Bryant, which today is known as "a BRYANT Family Farm". A. G. built the family home that has been owned by four generations: A. G. Bryant, Frank G. Bryant, Frank G. Bryant, Jr (Tinker), and today by Rebecca Bryant Moyer and her husband, Bruce. Six generations have lived, played and worked on the farm while enjoying the beauty of their homeplace and the mountains.
Early to the mid 1900s, the farm provided additional income through the production of apples and corn. As these crops waned in need and production, Tinker added Black Angus cattle. We continue to raise cattle and chickens for farm fresh eggs today.
Homemade jams and jellies made in small batches have been enjoyed by generations. Rebecca cherishes the good times and memories of helping her mother preserve vegetables and fruits for the winter months. Continuing this practice today, she makes enough jams and jellies for her family and to share with customers. Through the years, grandchildren have lived, played and helped work the farm to sustain its productivity. God has blessed all of us and we love sharing our products and out family, friends and neighbors.
“I put as much fruit as I can in a jar. And I never use corn syrup.”
